This is a single, practice-based short course designed for registered nurses who are required to administer systemic anti-cancer treatment, or in the case of uro-oncology nurses intravesical anticancer treatment, as part of their professional role. It enables you to develop the required knowledge and skills to be able to autonomously, safely and competently administer cytotoxic chemotherapy. The content of this course aligns with chemotherapy measures published by the National Cancer Action Team (2011).

The course comprises one single module.

Successful completion allows you to exit with a short course in  Care of the Patient Receiving Chemotherapy (previously N59), which is 15 CATS Credits at Level 6.

Credit may be used from this short course towards the Student Designed Award degree programme (HC30).
