Vicky did her undergraduate degree in Nursing at Kings College University London before taking an MSc in Community Nursing at the Royal College of Nursing London in conjunction with Manchester University.
Vicky has had clinical experience in a variety of health care settings including acute, long term and primary care before joining Oxford Brookes in 2000 as a lecturer on the adult nursing undergraduate programme. She currently holds a contract with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust as an emergency nurse practitioner.

Vicky has 13 years experience of teaching at undergraduate level on a variety of modules at level 4,5 and 6 on the adult nursing course. She was field chair (subject co-ordinator) for the adult nursing course on two occasions.
Vicky currently teaches in the Advanced Practice cluster on the Advanced Histo ry Taking masters module and is module lead for the level 6 Care of the Surgical Patient module for post registration nurses.
Vicky’s undergraduate dissertation examined the benefits of preparing students nurses for night duty.
Her masters dissertation investigated the Lived Experience of Practice Nurses.
